Be the Google Go-to Guy
How to get top ranking on search engines
Everyone wants their site appear at the top of Google's listings and to do well on all the other search engines too. Here's a summary of the advice image and brand
offers on how to achieve that goal.Stick to One Website
Look on line at any top business where a car manufacturer, software provider or similar spends huge sums of money on marketing. You will see that almost all have just one website. They may have domains for each of the countries they serve but all are "redirected" so that you land on one site. All the different departments of the organisation have separate sections but not separate sites.
It's absolutely obvious; don't dilute your impact! Why would you spread out your time and energy diving Google's attention over a plethora of websites when you can focus on maximising the profile of one?
Some people want lots of addresses to push their "keywords" but the advantages of having those in your domain name are, at best, unclear. As Matt Cutts says (he's the "face of Google" to the SEO world) the most successful domains like Google, Facebook, Amazon, Ebay all rely on branding, not keyword recognition, and Google's algorithms have now reduced focus on that factor.

Of course it is really important to have a website that is well written and full of content to engage and captivate your visitors. You should take the opportunity while constructing it to include the keywords you want the search engines to see, while being very careful not to repeat them so often that you seem to be spamming and stuffing. But your focus must be that way round; never try to design pages for search engine optimisation, not least because Google and the others try to spot and discount them.
Turn your attention from your content to your audience. Focus on all the amazing opportunities that the Internet now offers for you to engage with them. Use every tool of social media to reach out to people and and draw them in .
